I got the latest issue of Dressage Letters yesterday and I have to say being eligible for any scholarship or grant is quite unfair. You either have to be over/under a certain age AND shown above a certain level. The only I would remotely qualify for says you have to show above Third Level – I am not at Third Level!! The only one that is at my level I am too old to apply for!
There is also a clinic this month but you have to have solid show experience at the level you want to apply for. They need to realize that showing isn’t the world and the most dressage riders are Adult Amateurs who don’t show and just take lessons to improve their riding!
Another comical thing is that one of the people who were awarded one of the grants – is so not Third Level! Her methods are so old and out dated its not even funny! She teaches her students to sea-saw to put the horse on the bit!
Modern dressage is so dependent around competition – riding isn’t all about competition people!
I have come to the conclusion (at least for me) that lessons and showing are highly overrated!

This is about Jehovah’s Witnesses’ and their superiority complex. This vent has been a long time comming. I consider myself I very open person, but their religion is just a bunch of crap.
All I have to say is anyone who is one is an idiot. How could you be apart of something that outcasts everyone else in the world. That says the whole world is wrong except them. The members are so incredibly brainwashed its pathetic.
I remember a time when someone lectured my grandmother about how her religion isn’t right, my grandmother was born a Buddhist, which has been around for thousands of years, compared to one that’s been around about 60 years? In compared to the other religions in the world The Jehovah’s Witnesses’ are nothing. They think they can tell others that their is wrong, but the “Jehovies” are the ones that are wrong, they disagree with EVERYTHING all other religions say. They celebrate NOTHING.
I refuse to be apart of anything that dictats how someone should live their life. Therefore they aren’t really living.
I have to say that that felt good.

On Dressage Daily I found the photo below. I just had to post a gripe about it. Accordinging to the article she won the FEI Intermediaire I Open class. You can find the article at http://tiny.cc/1WEwQ .

Trust me I am by no means and expert and my position is no where near perfect. But, is it just me or is her heal to far down for dressage and her leg seems far to strait. I know it is the latest trend in dressage to have a strait leg that is positioned back.

I’m telling you the nerve of some people, especially newbies. At my mom’s work they have all these new hires and this one in particular thinks she just knows everything and that she is just better than everyone else (ring a bell?). She is completely tactless and suck a piece of work (ring another bell?). I’m telling you, I’m begining to think all people up here are like that, unless they just happen to attract them.
