In case you didn’t notice (it is hard to miss) she is back in the double bridle. We were getting no where fast in just the snaffle. So we are back aiming for Third Level.
I have decided that as of right now Third Level is a bit of a stretch to reach by next year. So I bought Penny a 5″ 12mm Toklat loose-ring snaffle. I rode her in it for the first time yesterday, she seemed to really like it. She chewed on it a lot. She even went on the bit in it. Her stride is longer than it was in the double.
I another note, she just randomly started picking up the left lead. I think she is finally getting the picture. She way stronger going to the left in the snaffle and takes longer to respond to the leg going into it in both directions.
We plan on debuting at First Level next year.
