I’ve come-up with a new plan of action for Penny’s training. Instead of cantering every workout, we will do it every-other workout. Since she may be a bit stiff and stiff horses get cranky. So every other day will be walk and trot and the other days are walk, trot and canter.

So hopefully this will help her be more willing. I think she is finally beginning to listen and figuring out I won’t take her redheaded tricks and fits.

I have a major confession to make. Sometimes I just want to give up.

When I watch my mom ride her horse Maestro and see how good he is in the trot and canter, it makes me just want to scream and give up. Since Penny isn’t even that close to being good in the canter, the trot yes. When she’s good, she’s exceptional. When she’s bad, she’s horrible. So horrible I just want to either give up or get another horse, that can do all gaits without having a fit about it. Is it really that hard to pick up the correct lead? or not shake her head?

My mom keeps telling me your lucky, you should appreciate her more. Since she is a talented, hard working little horse. I try to but sometimes I can’t take it anymore. Sometimes I don’t even want to ride. I just want to go home and sit at the computer. The computer doesn’t argue with me or miss-behave.

If she would just canter as nice as she trots and actually pick-up the left lead. I would be a happy camper. Part of the problem is my work schedule. I only get to ride twice a week. I think I need to find someone to ride her when I can’t. Maybe that will fix part of the problem?

I don’t know. We’ll see.

I saw The Dark Knight twice over the weekend once on opening day (July 18) and Sunday (July 20). I’m sooo tempted to go see it again, but need to resist the urge to do it. That’s when the internet is at its finest. If you google “watch movies online” several sites have the whole movie online!!! I know some people say it is “bad”, but oh well…I’ve paid to see it twice, so I think I’m entitled to watch it for free. So I would say go see it in the theater first then watch it for free.
