Well, this vent has been a long time coming. It has now officially boiled over. Here goes.
The stable where I board my horse believes only in doing the bare minumum. It also doesn’t help that they only have one person cleaning stalls, watering, etc. It is a known fact that stalls should have a good amount of dirt and should be graded so the water runs out of the stall and does not stay in the stall.
In my not-so-humble opinion they are responsoble for the conditions of their facilties (muddy stalls, uneven arenas, arenas with too deep of footing) and what happens to the horses under their care as a result of them. They have to be some of the most uneducated horse people i have ever heard of. They thing really deep footing will strengthen tendons, when it will more likely ruin them. The stalls are so muddy that it is past my horses fetlock, she is really unhappy. So I went to see if any barn stalls where open (there the only decent ones). The owners crankly responded they are all full. So my mom informed him of our problem. He solution…to put shipping boots on her. That is the most uneducated answer I have ever heard. Put shipping boots on her so she can’t lay down and so it funnels the mud up her legs more. So intelligent. They think they know soo much and that they are sooo much better then everyone else.
